2 Terrorists Killed in Katsina For Snatching Electoral Materials

Police in katsina have confirmed the killing of 2 suspected terrorists by the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, after they snatched election materials at Tsabawa community between Batsari-Kurfi road.

Spokesman of the police, Superintendent Gambo Isah who made the confirmation in a telephone conversation said, four of the terrorists launched the attack on the electoral officers but two of them were killed.

He added that, following the attack, the Civilian JTF on patrol engaged the terrorists in a gun duel after the electoral materials were snatched from them.

Isah said, due to the superior firepower by the Civilian JTF’s, two of the terrorists were gunned down, 2 AK 47 rifles were also recovered as well as all the electoral materials recovered and handed back to the INEC officials.

He also confirmed that elections were later held in the area after normalcy was returned after all.
