2023 CHAN Qualifiers: Super Eagles B Coach Salisu Yusuf Talks Tough Ahead Of Ghana Clash, Dismissed Speculation Of Revenge Mission

Home-based Super Eagles head coach, Salisu Yusuf says the team is perfectly focused on securing a ticket at the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN),

The Team B Eagles willslug it out against perennial rivals, Ghana for a place in the competition scheduled to hold in Algeria.

The Black Stars denied Nigeria a place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but Yusuf insists the CHAN qualifier is not about revenge.

“For me it’s not about revenge, it’s about qualification,” Yusuf Salisu said on Brila FM.

“So the most important thing is for us to qualify and to qualify we have to beat Ghana and it’s our wish and prayer that it will happen,” he said.

Ghana will entertain the first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium on August 28th.

However, the reverse fixture is scheduled for the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on September 3rd.
