Agency Warns Sokoto Youth Against Abuse Of Illicit Drugs

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA Sokoto state command has warned  youth in the state to desist from abusing   illicit, harmful and dangerous drugs capable of destroying their lives

The called was made by the commandant of the Sokoto state command of the NDLEA, Iro Adamu Muhammed at a press conference in commemoration of the international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Sokoto state  

The commandant said in the last one year the command has made over two hundred and seventy arrest and secured over fifty right convictions, seized close to two million kilograms of varieties of illicit drugs  as well as succeeded in counseling and rehabilitating over thirty five drug users. in the year under review.

He said the command is aware of the nature of the security challenges banditry and terrorism bedeviling the state, on this, he encouraged them to fight drug peddling to a standstill in the state.
