ALIA Flags Off Distribution Of Relief Materials To IDPs In Benue

The Benue State Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has officially flagged off the distribution of relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), in the state.

Flagging off the distribution at the headquarters of the State Emergency Management Agency SEMA in Makurdi the state capital Alia warned against any plans to divert the essentials solely meant for the displaced.

The chief executive maintains that it remains his priority to return the displaced persons back home to their ancestral farm lands.

Items distributed to the camps includes mattresses, rice , beans, noodles and palm oil to 14 IDP camps in Makurdi, Logo,Guma and Gwer West local councils.
