Amnesty international has organized a protest outside the U.S. Embassy in Brussels to call on U.S. President joe biden to close the prison at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.
Biden arrived in Brussels on Sunday (June 13) for a series of meetings with NATO and EU leaders.
Holding portraits of guantanamo bay inmates, activists chanted “Go, joe, go. Close Guantanamo” under the scrutiny of belgian police.
One of the activists wore an orange coverall mimicking the clothes worn by prisoners at the U.S. Detention Facility.
