Beautiful Nigeria: Drill Ranch, Pandrillus, Cross River State

Drill Ranch, Pandrillus is located in Boki at the foot of the Afi Mountain about a 5-hour drive from Calabar.

Pandrillus is a conservation area where Drill Monkeys are rehabilitated and re-introduced into the wild.

You’ll also find other rescued animals like antelopes, parrots and more.

Founded in 1991, Drill Ranch is the region’s first primate rehab project.

Illegally held drills orphaned by hunting are donated by local citizens or handed over after seizure by authorities; no animals are purchased or removed from the wild.

Over 75 drills have been recovered, and rehabilitated to life with members of their own species, after thorough medical screening.
