Brothers At War: Ndidi, Iwobi Fight For Premier League Survival

Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi will clash Monday evening at the King Power Stadium in a Premier League relegation six-pointer.

Ndidi’s club, Leicester City and Iwobi’s Everton are in danger of going down to the Skybet Championship at the end of the season as they occupy 18th and 19th positions respectively on the log.

Only one point separates both sides; 29 and 28 points respectively after 33 games each.

While Ndidi has been having an indifferent season this term, Iwobi has been phenomenal for the Toffees.

The 26 year old Foxes’ midfielder has endured an uneventful campaign, making 16 starts for the club this season subbed onseven times.

He has featured 11 times against Everton with nine of the games in the Premier League. He has provided two assists and will be looking to now score his first
goal on his 12th attempt (10 in the Premier League).

Iwobi on the other hand has started all the league games for the Toffees this campaign, bagging six assists and one goal.

The former Arsenal man has featured 11 times against Leicester City, with 10 coming in the Premier League. He is yet to either score or assist in all 11
games.

Leicester City will however miss the now influential Kelechi Iheanacho who has scored four of his five Premier League goals so far this season this year and has been named official Premier League player of the match three times, all in 2023.

He has scored twice and provided two assists in 10 appearances against the Toffees but the 26 year old will not be available for
the game at the King Power stadium following an injury that may keep him out from the remainder of the season.
