Donald Trump has won the US presidential election, defeating Kamala Harris in a stunning political comeback making him the first Republican former president in over a century to reclaim the White House after losing it.

“It’s a political victory like our country has never seen before,” Trump told a victory party in Florida.

Arizona

Arizona’s polls have closed and Trump has the lead with 54% of the vote counted. This is one of the “Sun Belt” seats that will likely play a key role in this election.

Georgia

Georgia was the first major swing state to close its polls and was won by the Republican candidate, Donald Trump. Since then, 97% of the state’s vote has been counted with Trump securing 51%. Biden won Georgia in 2020, but Trump won it in 2016.

Michigan

Michigan’s polls have closed with 15 electoral college votes, the tally is leaning towards Trump, with 88% of the votes counted. Biden won Michigan in 2020, but Trump won it in 2016.

Nevada

With Nevada’s polls closed, and 83% of votes counted, Trump has the lead. It was won by Hillary Clinton in 2016, and Biden in 2020.

North Carolina

North Carolina was secured by the Republican candidate, Donald Trump. Since then, 99% of the vote has been counted. The state was won by Trump in both 2016 and 2020.

Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania was called for Trump. Since then, 96% of votes have been counted. Pennsylvania has been widely regarded as the most important swing state in this election because it holds 19 electoral votes. In 2016 Pennsylvania was won by Trump, but Biden won it back for the Democrats in 2020.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin’s polls have closed and, with 94% of the vote counted, Trump is in the lead. Wisconsin was won by Trump in 2016, and Biden in 2020.
