Edo looters get seven-day ultimatum to return stolen arms

THE Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Johnson Babatunde Kokumo has given hoodlums who hijacked the #EndSARS protest in the state and stole arms, ammunition and other items to return them within seven days or face dire consequences.

In a statement on Monday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the CP, also promised handsome rewards for people with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the criminals.
Seven police stations were looted and razed in Edo, while the Maximum Correctional Centre on Sapele Road and Oko Medium Correctional Centre on Airport Road were attacked by hoodlums who hijacked the protests, leading to the escape of 1,993 inmates.
Kokumo declared that the seven-day ultimatum took effect from November 9.
