Elon Musk Hires New Female CEO For Twitter

Twitter boss, Elon Musk has revealed that he has hired a woman to replace him as the chief executive officer of Twitter.

Musk took to his Twitter handle to make the announcement that she, will be starting in ~6 weeks.

He added that his role will now transition to being exec chair & CTO (chief technology officer), overseeing product, software & sysops.

Elon Musk who purchased the microblogging platform in October 2022 has allegedly slashed around 70 per cent of Twitter’s staff since buying the firm for $44 billion, including its entire executive team.

Shortly after the announcement, Tesla’s shares reportedly jumped more than 2 per cent, in a sign that investors were pleased about the move.

A group of shareholders publicly urged the board in April to ensure that Musk dedicated more time to the company. The letter said they had become ‘increasingly concerned with governance and leadership issues at the company.

Musk has, since his take over, faced backlash and criticism on multiple fronts for several of his decisions as it affects Twitter and its users, but this seems to be meeting the public well.
