Camerounian tech innovator 23 years-old Nzometiah Nervis Tetsop, has emerged the winner of this year’s prestigious Future Africa Leaders Awards (FALA) held at the Loveworld crusade arena Asese south west Nigeria.
The event in it’s ninth edition was hosted by the President of the Loveworld incorporated also known as Christ embassy at it’s annual global New Year’s Eve Service and watched by billions around the world.
Special guests in attendance at the glamourous award ceremony were former president of Nigeria retired general Olusegun Obasanjo, former president Goodluck Jonathan, President and founder of Africa Diaspora Development Initiative (ADDI) and former African Union Ambassador to the United State HE Dr. Arikana Chihombori MD, FAAFP.
Nzometiah Nervis Tetsop an ambassador of Cybersecurity in Cameroon, Community Builder, Robotics and 3D Technology enthusiasts who has a strong interest in technological innovation, entrepreneurship, community development, and Youth Leadership emerged winner from 10 finalists who are also winners.
As the star prize winner Tetsop received $25,000 prize money while the remaining 9 contestants received $10,000. The award is giving the young people of Africa a chance to build the continent by investing in their futures.
They include Manzi Guevara from Rwanda,Emmanuel Gyan Finawah from Ghana, Anna Maneno from South Sudan and Prisca Torboal from Chad.
The Future Africa Leaders Foundation is an initiative aimed at exploring and expanding the leadership potentials in Africa and for Africa. It is for identifying, celebrating and supporting young Africans who have demonstrated exemplary leadership by impacting their generation positively through education, youth empowerment and mentoring through other projects aimed at building young people and preparing them for a positive future.
The Future Africa Leaders’ Foundation (FALF), an arm of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI), identifies and celebrates young leaders from all over Africa.
