Federal Govt. Commissions Kaolin Processing Plant In Bauchi

The federal government of Nigeria is to sustain partnership with relevant stakeholders in harnessing the abandoned natural resources across the country.

Minister of mines and steel development Arch Olamilekan Adegbite stated at the commissioning of Kaolin processing plant in Alkaleri local government area of Bauchi state north east Nigeria.

Alkaleri local government in Bauchi state is richly blessed with solid minerals and Kaolin in particular hence the move by the  federal government to established the project in a bid to improve the mining activities as well as encouraging small scale mining clusters.

Commissioning the Project, the State Governor Bala Mohammed represented by the secretary to the state government Barr Ibrahim Mohammed kashim said the multi million-naira project would facilitate the economic development of the North East sub region.

According to him the project would complement his administration’s blue print aim at ensuring the success of various solid minerals exploration for economic growth and development.

On his part, the Minister of mines and steel development Arch Olamilekan Adegbite said the project is part of the federal government economic and sustainability programmes targeted at developing the solid minerals subsector for economic sustainable growth and development.

Other speakers at the event include representatives of women groups in mining who expressed confidence that the projects would provide employment opportunities especially among the youths and women.
