Girl Wins N3 Million Innoson Scholarship For Jamb Score

Innoson has awarded a 3 million naira scholarship to one of the best UTME candidates from the 2023 exam.

Innoson Vehicles, a leading Nigerian automobile manufacturer, awarded indigent student Ejikeme Joy, an academic scholarship worth 3 million naira in a demonstration of its commitment to academic excellence.

Although, touted as the overall best-performing candidate in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the 2023 academic year, a quick search online would show that Joy was just 3 marks shy of the highest score attained this year.

Joy, an indigene of Enugu State, and a resident of Nnewi with her Father, an Okada rider, thanked the Chairman for the scholarship, promising to do her best with the opportunity provided.

The student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra state, emerged way above her peers with a total score of 362 in English Language, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, broken down as 98%, 89%, 94%, and 81%, respectively.

Globally, indigent children are more likely to do poorly in school compared to their better-placed counterparts for a variety of reasons.
