GPA Urges President-elect Trump to Champion a Pro-Life Agenda

The Global Prolife Alliance (GPA) recently extended its congratulations to President-elect Donald J. Trump, highlighting his “providential role” in advancing a global pro-life movement. In a letter dated November 10, 2024, GPA Chairman Dr. Philip Njemanze expressed the organization’s readiness to work with the incoming U.S. administration on initiatives to counter what they call a global “Culture of Death” — policies and practices that, in their view, endanger life and traditional values.

The letter outlines five key areas that GPA identifies as threats to the sanctity of life worldwide:

  1. Legalization of Abortion and Contraception: GPA urges reforms to protect the unborn and limit practices such as abortion and the widespread use of contraceptives.
  2. Recognition of Same-Sex Marriage and Gender Reassignment: GPA opposes the recognition of same-sex unions and calls for a science-based approach to gender, advocating for respect for biological distinctions. Dr. Njemanze cites scientific studies to argue for the neurological basis of gender differences.
  3. Food Security in Developing Nations: GPA is critical of multinational corporations promoting genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and restrictive patents on seeds, which they argue undermine local food security and economic independence in Africa.
  4. Religious Conflicts and Biotech Influence: GPA claims that corporate agendas, especially in biotechnology, have exacerbated social instability, violence, and terrorism to further corporate control in regions like Nigeria.
  5. Gender and Identity Policies: They challenge policies that redefine gender as a social construct, arguing this undermines both cultural and biological foundations.

The GPA calls on the Trump administration to spearhead efforts that uphold traditional values and ensure that pro-life principles form a core part of international policy. They further urge other world leaders, religious organizations, and international institutions to support this vision for a more peaceful and life-affirming global future.
