How To Apply For NYSC Supplementary Registration

The National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) has opened a supplementary online registration window for prospective corps members whose details were recently uploaded to its portal.

The exercise is scheduled to run from Thursday, April 9 to Saturday, April 11, 2026, and is specifically targeted at candidates who are yet to complete their registration.

In a post obtained from NYSC’s X account, the scheme stated, “Supplementary online registration for recently uploaded prospective corps members commences Thursday, 9th – Saturday, 11th April 2026.”

The agency also stressed the importance of adhering strictly to the timeline, warning that failure to complete registration within the stipulated period may lead to disqualification from the upcoming orientation exercise.

NYSC Supplementary Registration Process

The registration process is carried out exclusively online via the official NYSC portal and follows structured steps designed to verify eligibility and prepare candidates for service.

Prospective corps members are advised to visit the official NYSC portal or use only accredited registration centres to begin the process. They are required to create an account using a valid email address and phone number. After account creation, candidates proceed to fill in their personal details, including biodata, academic records, and next-of-kin information.

Applicants must upload required documents such as their passport photograph, degree or HND certificate, and, for foreign-trained graduates, additional verification documents. Biometric capturing, including fingerprint registration, is also mandatory to validate identity and prevent duplication.

Candidates are then expected to select their preferred states of deployment, although final posting is determined by NYSC based on national needs. After completing the form, applicants make payment for the Call-Up Letter (optional but recommended for online printing) and receive confirmation of successful registration.

According to standard NYSC guidelines, applicants should ensure that all information provided matches official records, as discrepancies especially in names or dates of birth may delay mobilisation or require correction through affidavit and institutional verification.

The scheme also advises candidates to avoid cybercafés that engage in malpractice and instead use accredited centres or carefully follow instructions to prevent errors.

The supplementary registration exercise provides another opportunity for eligible graduates to complete their enlistment into the NYSC programme without missing the service year.

By ensuring timely registration, accurate documentation, and strict compliance with guidelines, prospective corps members can avoid delays and secure their place in the upcoming orientation camp.
