Imo Youth And Sports Commissioner Dan Ogu Bags Most Outstanding Appointee Of The Year Award

…inducted and conferred with title of Ambassador of Good Leadership

It was a colourful occasion as the vibrant and productive Imo state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Dan Chike Ogu was honoured with the MOST OUTSTANDING APPOINTEE OF THE YEAR AWARD’ by the leadership and members of the NIGERIAN STUDENT’S PARLIAMENT (SOUTHERN ASSEMBLY) led by the Speaker, Michael Okon from the University of Uyo.

The NSP has been in the state for a while, made their findings and came to the conclusion that he scored highest in terms of diligent performance, accessibility and acceptability as well as his unequaled packaging in youth and sports development, performance, open door policy and humanitarian services.

Speaking on the occasion in the Commissioner’s office, Rt. Hon. Okon stated that “Hon. Ogu had displayed rare selflessness and quality leadership through periodic communication with people, social development schemes, youth empowerment, to mention but a few hence the meritorious award. I specially thank Governor Hope Uzodimma for his students and youth friendly policies.”

Receiving the award, Hon. Dan Ogu thanked NSP for the recognition and promised to continue to project the 3R agenda of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s Shared Prosperity Government which focuses of good governance, value orientation, youth and women empowerment as well as social welfare schemes.

He promised to support the Nigerian Student’s Parliament and their projects aimed at the betterment of Nigerian students and youths.

He equally appreciated Governor Hope Uzodimma for believing in him to serve in his government, noting that the height he has achieved was because of the leadership style of the governor and his encouragement to all that work with him.

According to Hon. Ogu, “It’s encouraging to work with a Principal who is detail and people oriented about your service.”

The high point of the event was the presentation of the merit award to the Imo state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development as well as his induction as an ambassador of the NSF with the title ‘AMBASSADOR OF GOOD LEADERSHIP’.

On the entourage of the NSP Speaker was the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Elizabeth Udoh (UNICAL), the Majority Leader, Anthonia Patrick (UNIPORT), Femi Emmanuel the Chief Whip (University of Ibadan) and the Clerk, Nnaji Victor (FUTO).
