International Standard Education: Ekiti School Introduces Vocational Training

The Principal, Crown International Secondary School, Odo, Ado Ekiti, Sunday Ojo, has said the school will fill the missing link in provision of international standard education in Ekiti state.

Ojo said the school would also provide second to none vocational training for its pupils in partnership with  Crown Polytechnic, saying it would provide the leverage for the smooth running of vocational courses just as engineers and instructors from the polytechnic will provide training and support at all times”.

The principal, who spoke at a press conference to intimate parents and guardians on what he described as “innovative and functional education emerging in Ekiti State,” said the new school was out to facilitate students’ thinking process and develop their potentials and personal value.

He said, “Vocation training forms an essential part of the school curriculum. Students will be trained to acquire entrepreneurial and skills based on their chosen trades. The workshops are equipped with the necessary training facilities.

“The school is aimed at providing classroom instructions blended with practical trainings to enable students develop the mindset of self-independence.

He said that the school based on boarding system with opportunity for day students, which was the first of its kind in Ekiti State would run both Nigeria and British curricula, adding that they were the main feature of international education.

“The school will deliver the syllabus of West African Secondary School Certificate Examination and International General Certificate of Secondary Education,” he said.
