Japan is restarting one of the nuclear reactors that was shut down since the 2011 Fukushima disaster.

Regulatory approval to restart three reactors that are more than 40 years old was granted last month.

The operator plans to restart the Number 3 reactor in late June after an inspection by the country’s Nuclear Regulation Authority.
