U.S. health agencies are calling for an immediate pause in the use of Johnson and Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine.

This comes as six recipients in the states developed a rare blood clotting disorder within about two weeks after being vaccinated.

One woman died and another is in critical condition.

The Central Disease and Control Headquarters will hold an advisory meeting on Wednesday to review the cases.

As of Monday, more than 6.8 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in the U.S.
