The Apapa Local Government Area of Lagos State has embarked on a five-day workshop to train primary school teachers in the council on robotics education.
The beneficiaries, which comprise ICT teachers across public primary schools in Apapa LG are been trained on the new wave of globalization and technologically driven innovative education.
Speaking during the official flag-off, the Apapa LG boss, Idowu Senbanjo said the training of the teachers on robotics was to drive the globally relevant educational delivery in the primary school sector in the state.

She noted that the council is grooming pupils to be future-ready by inculcating 21st-century skills and exposure in them.
In his remarks, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Education, Mike Egbayelo, emphasized that African countries would continue to sink into poverty until priorities are given to globalization of schools.
He said those who understand the language of the 21st century will be termed literate in the real sense.
