LASU Lecturers Decry Poor Handling of Sub-Degree Programmes

Lecturers at the Lagos State University have lamented about the poor handling of the sub-degree programmes in the institution.

The sub-degree programmes, include Diploma, Pre-degree, HND-B.Sc conversion programme run for six semesters and lecturers are usually paid after a semester.

However, investigations reveal that the school has not paid for two semesters.

They also said that the school was not paying adequate attention to the sub-degree programmes adding that all the stages of the programme right from the admission registration stage to uploading of results online always had hitches and delays.

Some lecturers who spoke with news men did so on the condition of anonymity.

A Lecturer complained about the services of the ICT Department of the school, saying the university management needed to review its operation.

Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations, LASU,  Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile, when contacted said the VC is already looking into all the matters raised and will address them.
