National U-12, U-15 Handball Championship Holds On August 7

The 2021 edition of the U-12, U-15 National Handball Championships will hold from August 7 to17 inside the Gingiya Memorial Sports Complex in Sokoto.

According to the Secretary-General of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Maigidansanma Mohammed, the age-grade competition is sponsored by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

The HFN scribe said all teams that have registered for the championship are expected to arrive in Sokoto on August 7 for screening the next day at the championship venue. He added that teams expecting to take part in the contest should hasten up their registration process for the competition.

Meanwhile, the 2021 edition of the National Handball Cadet Championship is the first of the three-year sponsorship deal the HFN agreed with the Sokoto State government last year following the successful hosting of the 2020 edition also held in the state.
