National Union Of Tunisian Women Outlines Five-Year Adult Education Strategy

The National Union of Tunisian Women has outlined its five-year adult education strategy (2021/2026).

The development and upgrading of the union’s centres across the country and the modernisation of learning tools for enhanced skills are the backbone of this stategy.

UNFT President Radhia Jerbi urged international lenders to underpin the organisation’s efforts to modernise the adult education system, target more social groups and develop curricula in line with their needs, such as digitalisation and distance marketing.

Jerbi shed light on financing challenges in a number of regions, adding that the Union is relying significantly on funding by the German Adult Education Association, DVV, which is a key and effective partner in this area.

Regional Director North Africa at DVV Internationa,l Donia Ben Miloud, said constant support is lent to the UNFT’s adult education programme by means of providing equipment or supporting trainers.
