Religious leaders in Nigeria have been called upon to heighten the advocacy on the war against drug abuse and illicit trafficking in their sermons in order to achieve a better society.
The Executive Chairman Nigeria’s Anti-narcotic Agency the National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency NDLEA, Retired Brigadier general Mohammed Buba Marwa made plea in Abuja.
Marwa urged religious leaders to constantly admonish youths in their sermons to stay away from drugs, and desist from trafficking the illicit substances for a better Nigeria.
The NDLEA boss noted that, the agency in the last sixteen months, have cleaned the streets of Nigeria of nearly four million kilograms of illicit substances.
