Nigeria Air To Begin Operations Before May 29 – Aviation Minister, Sirika 

The federal government has again assured that the indigenous airline- Nigeria Air, will take off before the present administration winds down on May 29.

Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika gave this assurance while briefing state house correspondents on the preparation for the operations of the airline.

The minister said the infrastructure and staff are ready and only await the final approval by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

The minister has also assured the workers in the aviation sector that all issues relating to their agitations on minimum wage are being taken care of by relevant government agencies and ministries.

The minister further briefed that his ministry has got the approval from the federal executive council for the procurement, installation, and commissioning of voice and data recorders in 9 airports across the country at the contract sum of Nine billion Naira.
