NYSC To Harness Opportunities In Agriculture Says DG

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brigadier General Mohammad Fada says his administration will harness every opportunity to increase the capacity of NYSC Ventures, especially in Agriculture.

General Fada stated this on Thursday while inaugurating the NYSC Fish Farm in Kwali, Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

He said; ”the Scheme would continue to use NYSC Ventures as training avenues for Corps Members that have passion for agriculture and increase the income generation drive for NYSC.”

The Director, Ventures Management Department, Prince Mohammed Momoh appreciated General Fadah for his support for the department.

Momoh promised the readiness of the staff of the department to boost the overall output of all NYSC farms across the country and the overall development of the Scheme.

“This is the only farm that is located within the Federal Capital territory and we plan to introduce additional ventures to enhance our revenue generation,” he revealed

The NYSC Kwali Farm in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja also have five hectares of rice plantation, poultry, cassava, maize, yam among other crops.
