Over 60 Dolphins, Fishes Wash Ashore In Ghana.

A large number of dead dolphins and fishes have washed up on several beaches in Ghana. Local fishermen have declared that the phenomenon is extremely unusual.

Authorities in Ghana are currently investigating the cause of deaths and have instructed people not to eat the animals as they may be poisonous.

The executive director of the Fisheries Commission, Michael Arthur-Dadzie said that on initial observation the mammals and fish showed no lesions or wounds on their bodies.

Samples have been collected and taken away for analysis and testing.

The affected beaches include, Axim-Bewire in the western region on the country, Osu beach in the Greater Accra region and Keta beach in the Volta region since friday.
