Plateau Residents Protest Deadly Palm Sunday Attack Defy Curfew

Hundreds of residents in Plateau State staged a protest on Monday morning, defying an existing curfew to express outrage over the deadly Palm Sunday attack in Jos North Local Government Area.

The demonstration began at Anguwan Rukuba, the location of the incident, with participants taking to the streets to demand swift and decisive government intervention. Footage from a live TikTok stream obtained showed that the protest started as early as 9 a.m.

Protesters, visibly angered by the violence, were seen chanting and calling for stronger security measures, insisting that the curfew alone is insufficient to curb the recurring attacks in the area.

According to the livestream, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang had arrived at the protest site as tensions remained high among residents seeking justice and lasting solutions.
