Police Arrest Notorious Kidnapper In Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police command says it has arrested a suspected notorious Kidnapper, Shuaibu Mohammed AKA Chiyawa, who had been involved in several kidnapping cases in the state.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, made the disclosure at the command’s headquarters in Lafia on Thursday while parading 23 other suspects who were arrested for various crimes across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state.

He commended the police officers attached to the Anti-Kidnapping unit of the command, led by SP Lapshak Lenka, for working tirelessly to arrest the suspected kidnap kingpin.

While reiterating the command’s commitment in eradicating crime in the 13 LGAs, Nansel said the police command will not hesitate to arrest anyone who disturbs the peace of other residents of the state.

While warning all criminal elements to leave Nasarawa State without further delay, DSP Nansel said the Commissioner of Police, CP Maiyaki Baba, had directed that the suspects be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia.
