Preserving Fuel: Sri Lanka Shuts Down Schools, Government Services

Sri Lanka has closed schools and shut down non-essential government services for two weeks to preserve fuel supplies.

It comes on the same day the government sits down for bailout talks with the International Monetary Fund.

A shortage of goods and rising petrol prices are escalating the situation.

The country is facing its worse economic crisis since the country gained independence in 1948.
