President Tinubu to Swear in Seven New Ministers on Monday

President Bola Tinubu is set to swear in seven new ministers to his cabinet on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja. The announcement was made by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, who shared the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday.

Onanuga confirmed the appointment of the following ministers:

  • Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction,
  • Muhammadu Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment,
  • Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs,
  • Dr. Jumoke Oduwole as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment,
  • Idi Maiha as Minister of Livestock Development,
  • Yusuf Ata as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development,
  • and Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad as Minister of State for Education.

Last week, the Senate confirmed these nominees following a screening process, paving the way for their formal induction into the cabinet.

This swearing-in ceremony follows a recent cabinet reshuffle on October 23, when President Tinubu reassigned 10 ministers to different roles, dismissed five, and nominated these seven individuals, who have now received Senate confirmation.
