Producers And Crew Of Matrix 4 Under Investigation in Germany

Lana and Lilly Wachowski as well as crew members working on the production of Matrix 4 are under investigation in Germany for allegedly throwing a party under the guise of shooting a scene.

Officials in the city of Potsdam in Germany, are accusing them of throwing a wrap party with over 200 who were invited as extras pretending they were filming a scene for the film.

The party, which was hosted by the directors and producers of the first three films is believed to have started at 6pm, on the 11th of November, into the early hours of the 12th.

Once inside there was a dancer, a DJ, a pyrotechnic show and, for those who wanted it, a tattoo artist who gave them a Matrix tattoo.

Star of the movie, Keanu Reeves was also in attendance along with a plus one.

The producers of the film told Studio Babelsberg (where they hosted the party) that they were shooting a celebration scene.

A spokesman for the city of Potsdam, whose job it is to give permission for parties to happen, stated: “No event was announced to us. There were ongoing discussions between the health authority and the studios on the topic of infection protection during filming.”

The party limits in Potsdam and Berlin, the capital of Germany, is currently of 50 people due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in order to throw a party you need permission from the health authorities.

Having had 200 people in this party and not having the authorization to throw it, it might lead to the studio that hosted the party and Warner Bros. getting fined.

Even though it seems like authorization was the main issue and the number of guests present would not have been an issue if it wasn’t a party, investigations are still ongoing.
