According to the commissioner, the relaxation of the curfew from 8:00am – 2:00pm is a step towards restoring normalcy. He added that the state government will continue to monitor the situation and ensure safety.

Dantiye conveyed Governor Abba Yusuf’s condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones and property during the protest that turned violent.

The commissioner added that the governor urged residents to return to their homes by 2 p.m., assuring them that the curfew would be reviewed as the security situation improves.

The governor appealed to residents to continue to pray for peace, progress, and political stability in the state and the nation.
