Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro Arrives Uyo To Begin Preparation For Lesotho Clash

Nigeria’s Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has arrived Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital ahead of Thurday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, as the team’s camp opens today, Sunday.

Peseiro who was received by the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Football Normalization Committee, Prince Bonny Nyong at the Victor Attah International Airport, came alongside his foreign assistants, Maykel Moreira, Acacio Santos and Vitor Hugo,

Nigeria will face Lesotho on Thursday November 16, 2023 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo by 5pm.

The Portuguese tactician had called up 23 players for this month’s World Cup qualifying fixtures against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.

According to the team’s travelling schedule, eight players are expected to arrive camp on Monday, while fifteen others will join on Tuesday for the first full training session ahead of the game.
