The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has scheduled Nigeria’s last 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Rwanda for November 18. This decisive Group D match will be held at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, as confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation in a statement on Tuesday.
The Matchday 6 showdown will conclude Nigeria’s campaign in Group D as they aim for a spot at the 35th Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco from December 2025 to January 2026.
CAF has assigned Moroccan officials to oversee the match, with Samir Guezzaz appointed as referee. Assisting him will be Zakaria Brinsi, Abdessamad Abertoune, and Kech Chaf Mustapha as assistant referees 1 and 2, and fourth official, respectively. Ghana’s Prosper Harrison Addo will serve as commissioner, while Somalian Ali Mohamed Ahmed will assess the officiating.
In addition, for the preceding Matchday 5 game against Benin Republic on November 14 at Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny (8 p.m. Nigeria time), Senegalese referees will officiate.
Issa Sy will be the main referee, with Djibril Camara, Nouha Bangoura, and El Hadji Amadou Sy as assistant referees and fourth official. Rene Williams Sere from Côte d’Ivoire and Inacio Manuel Candido from Angola will serve as commissioner and referee assessor, respectively.
