TETFUND Raises Alarm Over Activities Of Fraudsters 

Tertiary Education Trust Fund has raised alarm over recent activities of fraudsters attempting to defraud unsuspecting stakeholders of their hard-earned funds.

The acting director, public affairs, Abdualmumin Oniyangi, in a statement said that the fund was experiencing different fraudulent attempts and allegations by some individuals and groups.

He said the allegations were not only proved to be lacking in merit but discovered to have been sponsored by self-seeking individuals and groups, who felt aggrieved at the introduction to eliminate corruption and promote accountability.

He said there has been forgery of special intervention approval letters sent to stake holders, social media scam, scholarship grant scam and employment scams.

He urged security agencies to intensify their efforts in stopping this ugly trend by tracking these criminals and bringing them to justice.
