Tinubu Embarks on Two-Week Leave to the UK

President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Wednesday for the United Kingdom to commence a two-week vacation. This trip is described as part of his annual leave, as stated by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, in a signed statement released on Wednesday.

The statement, titled “President Tinubu Goes on Annual Leave,” indicated that the President plans to utilize this time as a working vacation, allowing him to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms during a retreat. He is expected to return to Nigeria upon the conclusion of his leave.

According to sources close to the President, this two-week break is indeed a part of his annual leave schedule. The journey comes just two weeks after President Tinubu’s recent trip to London, where he met with King Charles III.

This visit marks Tinubu’s 27th international destination since taking office approximately 16 months ago, and it is his fourth trip to the United Kingdom.

To date, he has also visited countries including Equatorial Guinea, London (four times), Bissau, Guinea-Bissau (twice), Nairobi, Kenya, Porto Novo, Benin Republic, Pretoria, South Africa, Accra, Ghana, New Delhi, India, Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE, New York in the USA, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia (twice), Berlin, Germany, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Dakar, Senegal, and Doha, Qatar.
