The United Arab Emirates on Friday confirmed that an Iranian missile and drone attack on the country left three people moderately injured.
According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, the country’s air defence systems intercepted multiple aerial threats launched from Iran.
“The UAE air defence systems engaged 2 ballistic missiles and 3 UAVs launched from Iran, resulting in 3 moderate injuries,” the defence ministry said on X.
The latest incident marks one of several missile and drone attacks the UAE says it has experienced from Iran this week. It is also the first reported wave of attacks since a ceasefire between the parties came into effect last month.
Iran had earlier denied responsibility for the recent attacks targeting the UAE.
