The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) has reiterated its dedication to strengthening Nigeria’s basic education system through collaborative and strategic reforms.
Speaking at the KADA EduPACT International Summit 2025 held in Kaduna, UBEC Executive Secretary, Aisha Garba, highlighted the Commission’s ongoing partnership with the Kaduna State Government in tackling long-standing challenges in the education sector.
Garba commended the state’s progress in reducing the number of out-of-school children and expanding access to quality education. She praised Governor Ubani’s leadership, describing it as a key factor in ensuring more children from vulnerable backgrounds are now enrolled and actively learning.
She informed summit participants of nationwide reforms currently being implemented to improve the effectiveness and responsiveness of UBEC’s interventions, noting that the Commission is focused on ensuring that no child is left behind.
Garba stressed the importance of innovation, collaboration, and strategic planning in delivering inclusive and sustainable education systems that empower learners and improve educational outcomes across the country.
