Victor Osimhen Declares His Value Exceeds €100M Amid Transfer Speculations

Victor Osimhen has boldly asserted that his market value surpasses €100 million, emphasizing that few players in world football have achieved what he has.

The Napoli striker, currently on loan at Galatasaray for the season, continues to make headlines with his performances on the pitch. Osimhen was one of the most sought-after forwards during the summer transfer window, drawing interest from top European clubs, including Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and Liverpool.

Both Chelsea and PSG made late efforts to sign the Super Eagles star, but negotiations fell through due to his €130 million release clause. This ultimately led to his move to Turkey as a loan option.

On Monday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Chelsea are considering a £40 million offer for Osimhen in the upcoming January window. However, Napoli have clarified that there are no ongoing negotiations, despite rumors of behind-the-scenes discussions at Stamford Bridge. Some fans have criticized the reported £40 million valuation, calling it unrealistic for the current African Player of the Year.

In response to these transfer challenges, Osimhen expressed confidence in his worth, citing his achievements and contributions to his teams.

“I am worth more than €100 million. There are very few players like me who have accomplished what I have,” Osimhen told Tutto Sport. “My value is tied to my unique qualities, my performance on the field, and the impact I bring to any team. Opinions may differ, with some suggesting different price points, but I know my worth.”

Osimhen has already made an impact in Turkey, scoring twice in a dramatic 3-3 draw against Kasımpaşa last weekend. He now has two goals and four assists in four games.

The Nigerian striker initially joined Napoli from Lille in 2020 for a club-record fee of €70 million, plus €10 million in bonuses. His standout performance helped Napoli win their first Serie A title in over three decades during the 2022/23 season, where he finished as the league’s top scorer with 26 goals.
