Wales Weather: Thunderstorm Warnings Issued By Met Office

The Met Office has extended a weather warning for thunderstorms into Monday across large parts of Wales.

It said there was a chance of flooding or lightning strikes with Sunday’s alert in place until 21:00 BST.

A new thunderstorm warning covers a large swathe of Wales on Monday between noon and 21:00.

And a warning for heavy rain is in place between 19:00 on Sunday until 09:00 on Monday in a number of areas.

The warning for heavy rain covers a large part of the nation apart from the six council areas in the north.
