The 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) was held on Saturday night at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, bringing together some of the biggest names in African entertainment.
The annual awards celebrate excellence in African film, television, and digital storytelling, recognising outstanding performances, productions, and creative talents across different categories.
While several actors, filmmakers, and creators went home with prestigious awards, many notable nominees failed to secure wins despite strong performances and impressive projects that generated conversations across the industry.
Below is a breakdown of the nominees who missed out on awards, as well as the stars and productions that eventually emerged victorious at the AMVCA 2026.
