The All Progressives Congress(APC) has released the official guidelines and committees for its 2026 presidential primary election, confirming that the exercise will be conducted through a direct primary system that allows all registered party members nationwide to vote.
According to documents issued by the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the presidential primary is scheduled to take place on May 24, 2026, across all 8,809 wards in the country.
The party stated that every registered APC member would have the opportunity to vote for their preferred presidential aspirant during the exercise.
It further explained that results from each ward would first be collated at the local government level before being forwarded to the national collation centre in Abuja.
The APC also announced that designated coordinators and collation officers would oversee the conduct of the primaries in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
