APC Campaign Coordinator Assassinated in Rivers

Mr. Chisom (Surname not confirmed), the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Coordinator for Ahoada-West Local Council in Rivers State, was assassinated.

Chisom, the APC Ward 10 leader in the area, was shot while attempting to prevent suspected hoodlums dressed in police camouflage from hijacking election materials earlier yesterday.

Sogbeye Eli, the Rivers APC 2023 Campaign Council spokesman, confirmed the incident to The Guardian late last night, saying the miscreants opened fire on him and shot him dead immediately.

“Yes, it is true, our Campaign Coordinator for Ahoada-West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chisom, was shot dead as he attempted to stop miscreants dressed in police uniforms from stealing election materials,” Eli said. They killed him by opening fire on him.

“The slain Chisom Lennard of Ubeta community in Ahoada West LGA of Rivers State was the Ward 10 Leader of the APC and Tonye Cole Campaign Coordinator for Ahoada West Local Council until his death today at the governorship and state House of Assembly elections,” he added.
