APC’s Idris Nasir Wins Kebbi Governorship Election

The independent national electoral commission, INEC has declared the all progressives congress governorship candidate, Idris Nasir winner of the Kebbi state governorship election.

The returning officer for the governorship election in the state, Sa’idu Yusuf said the APC candidate won the election by polling 409, 225 votes against it’s close rival Aminu Bande of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP 360, 940 in the election.

After declaring him as the next governor of Kebbi state, Nasir in his acceptance speech call on all aggrieved persons to join hands with his incoming administration to build the state towards improving the lives of the people.

Kebbi Election Re-Run: CP Task Members to Respect Citizens’ Rights

The governorship election was first held on March 18th but was declared inconclusive by INEC over cases of violence and overvoting and supplementary elections to conclude the exercise was fixed for April 15th.
