In an autopsy report already made public, the 12-year-old died from ‘acute lung injury from chemical intoxication in a background of blunt force’.
The autopsy was carried out in Safe Haven Mortuary, Warri, and was supervised by Dr. Clement Vhriterhire, a consultant for the Central Hospital, Warri, Delta.
Oromoni ‘s death has brought bullying to the front burner since the incident happened late November.
The school has been shuttered by Lagos government to allow investigation.
The Electorates in the north, may Prefer the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, and the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as Presidential Candidate of the Party, in 2023, due to one reason or the other.
Though, Both Tinubu and Osinbajo have not declared their interest, to contest Presidential race, in 2023 but there are indications that the duo may contest, because their Loyalists, have been reaching out, to Prominent Leaders in the country.
It should be recalled that different Groups have been creating awareness, over Tinubu and Osinbajo rumoured Presidential Ambition. The Southwest Agenda (SWAGA) is one the Groups in APC, emancipating for the realization of Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition.
Meanwhile, A Group called Osinbajo Grassroots Organization (OGO) is also one of the Group, emancipating for the Realization of Osinbajo’s Presidential Ambition in 2023.
This shows that the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, might be contesting for Presidential race in 2023.
However, Northerners May Prefer Osinbajo To Tinubu, as Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, because of his (Osinbajo) Loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari. The Northerners believed that Osinbajo will continue the Projects executed by the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, because both of them, were elected together in 2015.
It should be recalled that different Groups in the North have declared their support Osinbajo and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but Osinbajo may be Preferred to Tinubu by the Northerners, because he is very loyal to his Boss, Buhari.
Another Point is that Religious factor may also favour Yemi Osinbajo, because President Muhammadu Buhari is a Northern Muslim, and for equity reason, the northerners may Prefer Osinbajo to Tinubu, being a Christian Presidential Candidate.
The only thing is that Northern Muslim will be picked as running mate to Osinbajo, to avoid Christian-christian Candidate.
It should be recalled that, there have been several rumours that, the Governor of Borno State, Governor Babagana Zulum may be paired, with Professor Yemi Osinbajo, to contest Presidential race in 2023.
Nigeria’s currency plunged to a record in the spot market on Friday, narrowing the gap with the rate that investors and exporters pay for the naira, according to Bloomberg.
The currency fell 2.2% to a record N424.27 versus the dollar as of 2.46 p.m. on Friday. It was the biggest drop in the official exchange rate since Feb. 23. The currency has weakened every year since 2012.
The naira has fluctuated widely this year around a largely fixed spot rate of around 415 as investors try to gauge the central bank’s exchange rate direction.
The Central Bank of Nigeria has been selling the greenback at between 437 to 444 naira per dollar to investors since early October.
But according to the central bank’s real effective exchange rate, “the currency is overvalued by around 12% and that should be an indication of the adjustment we need to see.”
The Federal Government has again extended the deadline for the National Identification Number (NIN)-Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) data verification to the 31st of March, 2022.
According to Isa Pantami, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, the extension would enable the Federal Government to consolidate the gains of the process and accelerate the enrolment of Nigerians in key areas like the remote areas, diaspora, schools, hospitals, worship centres, and the registration of legal residents.
The unprecedented growth in the National Identity Database to over 71 million unique NINs in such a short period, with about 3 to 4 SIMs linked to a NIN, reflects the concerted effort of the Federal Government, the Nigerian populace and legal residents and this is truly commendable.” He added
The minister said the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has also set up enrolment centres in over thirty-one (31) countries to cater to Nigerians in the Diaspora.
