Dangote, Saudi Envoy Explore New Energy And Infrastructure Investment Opportunities

Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, recently held talks with Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, focusing on potential investments in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

According to NAN, the meeting took place on Friday at the ambassador’s residence in Abuja’s diplomatic district and was aimed at strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

During the engagement, Al-Balawi noted that the discussions reflect growing momentum in bilateral relations and a shared determination to expand cooperation across critical sectors such as energy, industry, and infrastructure.

He explained that the talks underscored the evolving partnership between both countries, highlighting areas of mutual investment interest.

The envoy also referenced Dangote’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia, pointing out opportunities available to the Dangote Group within the kingdom, as well as prospects for Saudi investors in the group’s various businesses.

Following the meeting, the ambassador hosted a dinner in Dangote’s honour and presented him with a commemorative gift to mark the occasion.

Saudi Arabia has also shown interest in collaborating with Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory in areas including security, economic development, and green city initiatives.

Al-Balawi commended the administration of President Bola Tinubu and FCT authorities for their efforts in building a “beautiful green city,” adding that the kingdom remains open to deeper collaboration and knowledge exchange on sustainable urban development.
