Four Premier League Clubs Eye Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan

Four English Premier League clubs—Fulham, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and West Ham United—are reportedly interested in signing Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze from AC Milan in the upcoming January transfer window. Sources from Caught Offside suggest that Milan may consider allowing Chukwueze to depart if they can secure Manchester United’s Brazilian winger Antony this winter.

Aston Villa currently lead the race for the 25-year-old, largely due to manager Unai Emery’s past relationship with Chukwueze from their time together at Villarreal, where they won the Europa League and reached the Champions League semi-finals.

Since joining AC Milan on a five-year deal in July 2023, Chukwueze has struggled for consistent game time. In the 2023/24 season, he started in only 14 of his 33 appearances, contributing three goals and three assists. This season, he has made just four starts in 11 matches, though he recently showcased his skills with a decisive goal against Udinese and an assist in Milan’s 3-1 Champions League win over Club Brugge.

Chukwueze played the full 90 minutes in Milan’s recent 2-0 loss to Napoli, although he was unable to leave a significant mark on the match. As January approaches, his future at Milan may hinge on his upcoming performances under manager Paulo Fonseca, as the club weighs potential additions to bolster their offensive lineup.
