FRSC Seeks TETFund’s Support to Boost Road Safety Initiatives

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has called on the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to extend its support to FRSC’s training institutions. This appeal aims to strengthen the skills and professionalism of road safety officers nationwide.

FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, made this request during a courtesy visit to TETFund’s Executive Secretary, Arc. Sonny Echono, at the Fund’s headquarters in Abuja. Mohammed praised TETFund’s significant contributions to tertiary institutions across the country and highlighted the importance of a partnership to minimize road traffic accidents and achieve a zero-casualty target.

In response, TETFund’s Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono, expressed readiness to collaborate with FRSC, particularly in awareness campaigns and training programs to enhance road safety not only in tertiary institutions but across Nigeria. Echono also commended the digital transformation within the FRSC, noting that it has greatly contributed to improving order and safety on Nigerian roads.
