At PFL Africa: Nigeria in Lagos, he delivered a spectacular flying knee knockout against Octave Ayinda, strengthening his reputation as one of Nigeria’s promising MMA fighters.

He followed that performance with a first-round technical knockout victory over fellow Nigerian Cornel Thompson in the semi-finals in Casablanca, Morocco.

The contest ended just two minutes and 46 seconds into the opening round after Ocheme landed a decisive body kick.

His victory guaranteed Nigeria a representative in the lightweight final, bringing him one step closer to continental glory.

From Humble Beginnings in Lagos to African Recognition

Reflecting on his career, Ocheme recalled his early introduction to mixed martial arts in Lagos and the experiences that shaped his development as a professional fighter.

He highlighted the importance of platforms such as PFL Africa in providing African athletes with opportunities to compete internationally and gain wider recognition.
